Of the world's rivers, the Mississippi ranks third in length, second in watershed area, and fifth in average discharge.

The Mississippi River is divided into three segments:
the Headwaters,
the Upper Mississippi River,
and the Lower Mississippi River.

The Headwaters reach from the river's source at Lake Itasca downstream to St. Anthony Falls in Minneapolis, MN,
The Upper Mississippi River, which is the area you will be houseboating on, is the stretch of river from St. Anthony Falls downstream to the mouth of the Ohio River at Cairo, Illinois.
The Lower Mississippi River flows from Cairo to Head-of-Passes in the Gulf of Mexico.


FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Q. Are the boats heated / air conditioned?

A. Yes, each boat is equipped with central heat and air, we use the same size and type of system that is used in many homes. Some companies use small, inefficient roof top air conditioners that can't keep up when the temperatures get above 80 degrees. If you are considering using one of our competitors please ask what type of air conditioning your boat will have.

Houseboat Schedules

We have two schedules to fit your needs.

Schedule A

4-day midweek trips leave Monday morning at 8:30 and return Thursday at noon. 

3-day weekend trips leave Friday morning at 8:30 and return Sunday at noon. 

7-day week trips leave Monday or Friday morning at 8:30 and return Sunday or Thursday at noon.

If you choose to purchase Early Boarding you will be able to board the boat at 4:30 Sunday or Thursday afternoon. As a special bonus for our early boarding customers, we will attempt to provide your training cruise the afternoon of early boarding - however please be informed that this is a free bonus and is not guaranteed (we reserve the right to hold the boats in for maintenance, heavy weather and darkness) we do, however, guarantee the boat will be available for sleeping on that evening.

Schedule B: 

4-day midweek trips leave Tuesday morning and return Friday noon. 

3-day weekend trips leave Saturday morning and return Monday noon. 

7-day week trips leave Saturday or Tuesday morning and return Friday or Monday noon.

If you choose to purchase Early Boarding you will be able to board the boat at 4:30 Monday or Friday afternoon. When renting a Jet Ski, F3 Sport Cat or Fishing Boat with a houseboat you may keep the boat for the duration of your trip.



Extra hours can be purchased based on availability.

Multi-day (overnight) rentals are available.

All boats kept overnight must be returned 1 hour prior to the start of the next rental period that you do not have the boat rented for.

Reservation deposit for all boats, except houseboats, is one days rental.

All advance reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card except for houseboats which cannot be paid with a credit card.

If the weather on the day of your reservation is not conducive to boating we will send you a certificate for a free rental which you will have 365 days to use. A contract must be signed before boarding.

Pets are allowed on the pontoons and fishing boats.

Customer is responsible for fuel and any costs incurred due to damage.
Add 5.5% sales tax to all prices.
